THE PROBLEM WE SOLVE

More than a name on paper.

Agents of Choice exists for people who need someone they can trust.

You have a full life: family, friends, an active community, professional achievements. And still, when you picture the moment you might need someone to speak on your behalf - to advocate for you, to manage your affairs the way you would - there’s no one right. So you leave the names on your legal documents blank. Or you fill them in with reserve, hoping that no support will ever be necessary.

This isn’t a gap you created. It’s structural: shared by millions of Americans who live alone, the result of shrinking family units, and greater geographical distances to loved ones. Some of our clients, knowing what the roles may require, simply prefer not to burden their children, relatives, or friends. Others have no one equipped or ready to step in.

Informed by personal experience as well as dozens of client and professional interviews, our process is deliberately designed. We offer meaningful connection alongside accountability and action, preserving what matters most to our clients: purpose, independence, and legacy.

WHAT THIS ACTUALLY MEANS

The Roles.

Financial Power of Attorney

A financial power of attorney is a document you sign, while you're fully able to make your own decisions, naming someone to manage your money and property if a day ever comes when you can't.

Healthcare Agent & Advocate

A health care power of attorney names someone to make medical decisions on your behalf if you're ever unable to make or communicate them yourself. That person is your health care agent.

Your second-in-command, there if you need us.

WHAT WE BUILD TOGETHER

Your Personal Decisions Playbook™

We bring the tea, scones, and questions. You bring the story.

Over a series of thoughtfully crafted conversations at your house, and ours (the office we call the Old House), we spend time with you before you ever need us. From the big priorities to the little, to everything we’d need to do in a crisis and over the long-term, we document your decisions, and what steps need to be taken by you, and us, to fulfill your playbook.

Three phases, built around your needs.

OUR SOLUTION

Knowledge. Commitment. Action.

Phase 1

Proactive Planning

One-time series of guided meetings where we get to know you and build your Personal Decisions Playbook™, our written guide to how decisions should be made on your behalf.

  • Four to five guided planning meetings, in person.

  • Your Personal Decisions Playbook™, built and finalized.

  • Coordination with your existing advisors.

Best for: A plan your family or professional POA can actually follow.

Phase 2

Reserved Readiness

An annual membership that keeps your Playbook current, so it still sounds like you when it's actually needed. Accountability that keeps you proactive.

  • Two structured review meetings every year.

  • Secure storage and routine updates as life changes.

  • Reserved capacity, so we're ready when you are.

Best for: Accountability, not a folder you forget about.

Phase 3

Activated Power of Attorney

Agents of Choice is named as your agent, serving if you need us. Known to you for years by the time it matters, not a stranger stepping in cold.

  • Representing you, as your Professional Next of Kin.

  • Decisions based on your documented plan, across finance and healthcare.

  • Hourly Activation, only if and when we're actually needed.

Best for: A partner, standards, and process that’s reliable.

What we put in writing.

OUR COMMITMENT

We're paid to act on your behalf. We're bound, legally, to act in your interest, not ours.
Here's how we make that real.

People decide.

We may use secure AI tools to help organize your information, but every decision about your life is made by a person. Never software.

Transparency over our services.

Agents of Choice does not provide legal services. But one of our founding partners is the managing partner an estate planning practice. The businesses are separate. We work with your chosen legal team, whoever that may be.

Every action, permanently on record.

Every decision, document, action, and bill we handle for you is kept in one auditable record.

Referrals, made for you.

We offer introductions to other professionals if and when you want or need them. Only for your benefit.

Investing in best practice.

Our internal processes are backed by a decade-plus of experience in management, corporate best practices, and reviewed with an ethics advisor.

Your information stays yours.

Stored securely, seen only by the people helping you.
